First ideas pieces

Today we split off into 2 groups to work on a single idea for our site specific. My group was me, Toby, Dan M, Ellie, Meg and Freya and we worked on the idea of a mental institute or the idea of mentally disabled people being drawn to a place and studied. Our group wanted to create a unsettling piece and we tried to achieve this by using Promenaded technique in the piece by having our audience move around us while we perform. To start the piece we liked the idea of all of us being spread across the room on chairs as we then had someone else in our group walk the audience through as like a doctor. We used the doctor for expositional purposes before leaving the room. We then wanted to spread our audience around us to help unsettle them as they won't have the comfort of being in a crowd. We then used "Seven devil" a song by Florence and the machine to perform our piece too, their are these key sections in the song where a drum pick up the pace for a burst where we then in time with these burst make quick sudden movements building up to more erratic movements that had us reaching out to audience members. We then all rise up in unison to drop as our doctor re-enters and then shouts at the audience for touching the patients, while this was happening, one of the patients gets up and sits the doctor down, after which they say that their actually doctor and then move on.
I like this piece we have created as I think using this idea for site specific will let us use very creative and unique physical theater pieces as well as a strange atmosphere for the audience.
The other group create a idea where we are waiting for an evacuation from some kind of apocalyptic setting but there has been no sign of rescue.
