Today we started working on the act I finale which is a musical number between Seymour and Orin which leads to Irons death. The whole chorus is on stage sat as if were in a waiting room for a visit to the dentist, we are sat in a V shape with Seymour at the point of the V to show that this is the dental room. All the chorus are holding either a newspaper or magazine while on stage as it is needed for the dance we have learned. In time with the tune of the song we turn a page of the newspaper/magazine, lift it over our face then wave it to the left as our head turns right. We then do this a second time but instead we wave the newspaper/magazine to the right and turn our head left. There is then a break in the music followed by a beat which clues us in to lift our magazine over our face and lift our shoulders up and down like were laughing. Seymour and Orin now talk for a while until Orin starts to sing, while he is singing we all while on our chairs start to lean forward and backward twice then right to left twice in time with the beat so we start slow but get faster until he stops singing which is where we lift our newspaper/magazine over our face again while moving our shoulders. Seymour starts to to sing as we repeat a movement the has us extend our right leg then left then bring both legs back in, turn a page of our newspaper/magazine and then turn right, we repeat this until Seymour is done singing and Orin starts to sing. When Orin sings we start the rocking forward and backward again until the last beat of the song in which we al pretend to take big breaths as we flop down on our seats like were dead

Flower making
Today I continued working on props for little shop of horrors but I focused on making the flowers for when the shop is renovated. I learned how to make these flowers from this site:
http://m.instructables.com/id/Tissue-Paper-Flowers/
To make these flowers I needed 3 different coloured sheets of tissue paper (same size as each other).
3 pipe cleaners and green straws.
With all this equipment I can make 3 flowers and add a pattern to make each one more flowery.
I managed to make a total of 12 flowers this lesson with different colours.
Blue, light blue, dark blue
Red, dark red, Orange
Pink, purple, light pink
Green, dark green, light green
I am going to continue making more of these flowers when I have free time in my drama lessons so that we have a large amount of fake flowers to use for the show

Behind the scenes
Today we we looked at what we could do to help with the production behind the set. We were each given a area to work on:
Marketing: Kyle, Danny, Theo, Ali
Box office/ F.O.H: Ellie, Dom, Carl
Tech: Dan M, Meg, Toby, Freya
Music: Dan S, Kia
Set: Harry, Tom, Ashley
SM: Liam
We were all given our areas to be in charge of. Team set started on 2 projects this lesson, Harry and Tom worked on drawing the flats that would be our Skid Row street while I started to paint the dentist chair and the head of Audrey II. I managed to paint the underside black as well as paper mache the gap left at the tip of the plants mouth. At the end we decided that one lesson a week would be spent on our designated areas.
Character profiles
Today we went over character development for little shop looking at all of our character and who they were. We all started with our own characters, mine being miss luce, then gave them more detail life's as well as personalities so we could perform better.
Miss Luce
Age: 37
Height: 6-6.5 foot
Clothes: grey business suit with dark leggings and heels but a bright coloured fur coat. Possibly glasses with long black hair
Personality: Miss Lice is a very strong and assseretive woman as she was born from wealth and has grown up to be the wife of a another successful man with a magazine company. She often looks down on others with condescending tones unless she is trying to get something from them. Like when she is trying to get Seymour to sign here contract she becomes sabotaging of a flirt (but she doesn't realise that she is a bad flirt). Finally she has a excitable personality often jumping a head with her ideas before finding out others opinion like in the song "Meeks Shall Inherit" she instantly decided that a photographer would come down for pictures of the plant before Seymour even said if he wanted to sign the contract.
We then looked at our Skid Row characte rs, the people we were in the chorus numbers and who were watching the show as it progressed. We all created a character profile for these characters.
Name: Sam Whitley
Age: 24
Clothes: old and scuffed clothes as he has recently become homeless, only spending a couple of nights on Skid Row.
Personality: Sam is often shy as well as awkward in social situations, he normally tries to avoid conflict as well as other people. He has struggled due to the fact that most of the people on Skid Row are Winos who try to talk to him which causes him to try and run away but often being unable to because he has nowhere to go.
Backstory: raised by only his mother as dad ran out on the family. Sam was forced out of his mother's home at 21 as she hoped it would motivate him to find a job which it did, Sam kept this job for 2 years before being fired. The money he had saved from the job lasted him a couple of months before he moved has to live on Skid Row

Running Act 2
Today we started with a warm up done by our assistant director, Mr Kelly, who made a warm up that helped stretch out muscles and get our energy going. The warm up lasted about 10 minutes before we moved on to running act 2. Act 2 started with a scene in the shop showing how well business is going, we are all on stage at this point interacting with each other like me, Toby and Dom are being asked to do a delivery for Mushnik. We all eventually get hurried out of the shop for Seymour and Audrey to sing through call back in the morning which we only ran once before we moved on to suddenly Seymour, this went well as the cast backing vocals went great as we managed to stay in time and pitch needed for the song. They then move on to supper time which we ran through once before we reached the meek shall inherit which went great as everyone knew the dance and it went well for me as I knew my lines, timeing and words to the song. The number went really went as it was full of energy but it was clear that a few people didn't know some of the words. We then ran through the rest of the show as normal until we reached the ending of the show, don't feed the plants which we started to run which went very well as we all knew what we were doing in this number and showed great commitment with a lot of energy.
